Memorial day weekend was filled with plenty of events, one of them being my parents meeting my boyfriends parents (exciting!). With Sunday service prior to dinner I wanted a nice spring look that still remained the a tad bit modest. I chose my favorite calf length floral skirt I found at a thrift store in VA for like $4! My white blazer seemed to be the next best choice along with some Steve Madden wedges I acquired from my sister. I've always been into wedges more than wearing high heels only because they give you way more support which is better for dancing (lol) at least for me! Even though I didn't do much dancing Sunday my feet were comfortable for the most part which says a lot for an extra five inches of height. A definite must get if you're looking for a comfy pair of summer shoes!
Also, I got braids this weekend. I literally woke up Friday and decided that I needed to do something with my hair that would last a long time. I had never done my own braids before cause my mom would usually handle that for me. So it kinda seemed like a daunting task at first. It took me almost the hours to do it and I plan on putting up a small video on my instagram: Genuinely_AA soon showing how I accomplished this hairstyle. It can also be seen on The Strong Suit's newest instagram: thestrongsuit! Follow us and we will follow back :)
