A Valentine's Day Outfit: Unconventional Style9:30 AM
Valentine's Day is almost here! Either you are planning what you will wear, or you don't even know what you are going to wear yet. Despite where you find yourself, I am here with outfit inspiration galore! I told you guys to keep your eyes peeled for Valentine's Day outfit posts and boy are you in for a treat. I wanted to start my Valentine's Day outfit series off with an unconventional outfit. When trying to come up with what I might wear myself, I tried to think outside of the box. What could I wear that is not the traditional red, white, or pink outfit? I wanted to give myself enough cute options to choose from because my first Valentine's Day with my boyfriend I wore this awful outfit (I do not know why he let me out of the house like that) and I can not do that again.
I tend to not utilize the full potential of my wardrobe because I am a college student, and my black legging,s and my 3 good t-shirts happen to be my best friends. However, I found a shirt that I had not worn in a while and would go perfect with colored bottoms. I bought this shirt from H&M for my cousins graduation and I loved how the color-block effect gave this simple shirt so much dimension. I ended up pairing it with burgundy cigarette pants and my floral Steve Madden heels! This look turned out so much better than I intended; the overall outfit remained simple with the pattern on my heels gave it that extra pop. The burgundy pants still follow the "romantic" flow of red hues typically seen in a Valentine's Day outfit, but it also does not scream, "Here I am for Valentine's Day everyone!"
