3 His and Hers Styles: Bonobos Spring Break Edition12:30 PM
March means that spring is on the horizon! Even though honestly, it has felt like spring for the longest time with random days of chilliness in between. Despite the recent ups and downs of the weather, the season of Spring Break is here! That means a lot of traveling, sun bathing, entertaining, and the most important, eating! For this Spring Break season I have teamed up with Bonobos--a menswear company who focuses on perfecting the fit of pants for every man--to show you guys how you can style amazing outfits his and her style!
In fashion school we learned that fit is one of the biggest problems in the industry. With so many different body types, it can be really difficult to find clothes that fit properly and appropriately. Bonobos was started when the owners could not find properly fitting clothes for themselves, and they realized that other men felt the same. From selling over 400 pants out of an apartment, to growing to one of the biggest clothing brands on the web, Bonobos now strives to provide great clothing that tells the stories of the humans who wear it!
Below I picked a few of my favorites from Bonobos's new spring collection as inspiration to outfits that can be worn by ladies as well! I love this concept because I often see things my boyfriend wears and I think to myself, how can I adapt that into my wardrobe without losing my own sense of style? For any of you ladies who are traveling with your boyfriend or like to match without being one of "those" couples, this is a post for you Spring Break edition!
Olive and Khaki
For my version of this look I decided to concentrate on the colors olive green and khaki. I love the desert vibes these colors give with partnered with one another, and I have been wanting to style this vest (haha). I have really been into gold jewelry lately and I used the gold accents to add a little pop to this outfit. My cheetah print flats add dimension and a little pattern fun as well!
Black on Black
Black is my favorite color so of course this would be one of my favorite looks from the photo shoot! I loved the black one black element with the blazer and trousers, but I decided to switch it up and add a skirt in there instead. This look can be dressed up or dressed down if I decided to wear some nice kicks instead of my wedges. I love this button down skirt because the buttons guide your eyes down the length of the whole entire look.
Every girl should own a nice button down shirt, one with stripes is even better. I have played with the idea of skinny versus thick stripes and I have found I like thicker stripes more! Menswear tends to be more minimal where thin stripes work the best, but when it comes to the ladies we can definitely get away with thicker stripes without it over powering our looks. I chose my asymmetrical white top as the perfect item to layer in order to add that extra element of dimension and flair.
