Today is the first day of the last month of summer! I can honestly say that this summer was filled with so many blessings and refreshing moments which leave me recharged and excited for the upcoming school year. Included in that excitement is also anxiety from all of the things I still have left to do: packing, packing, traveling, and more packing. This will be my last year of undergrad (a million tears) but I could not be happier with how my college career has panned out.
With back-to-school on the horizon I have really been concentrating on transitional pieces I can use for the fall. School and fall go hand in hand for me, and even though August is usually one of the hottest months out of the year, I can’t help but know that crisp mornings and pumpkin spice everything is right around the corner. You all know that I love my chambray shirts. I am still working on a master post of most of my looks where I have styled my jean shirts but I going to re-shoot a few due to the fact that my iphonography was not the best in the past. Thank the lord for my Olympus Pen!
For this look I chose to go simple and let a few statement pieces do the work. I have had these olive pants for a while but I rarely wear them for some reason. They are extremely comfortable and versatile so I will definitely have to work them in my fall wardrobe rotation. These cheetah flats I bought from Charlotte Russe on a whim. That store always has me buying stuff when I specifically told myself I would not spend any more money, BUT these flats were only $12! You read it right! I only had one pair of cute flats at the time, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. My statement necklace was also a steal from H&M with a budget price of only $3. Now that I mention it, I may pick up a lot of items here and there but they are always a deal I can’t pass up.
Before I embark on the most memorable school year of my life, I am going to do a little last minute traveling to Boston! My best friend moved there to go to grad school and it will be my first time visiting her at her new place. One fun fact about me is that I try to go to a new place every single year. Last year I went to Miami for the first time and the year before that was New York. I never would have guessed in a million years that I would be going to Boston, Massachusetts but I gotta visit my girl, my senior year is going to be so different without her (more tears).
With that being said though I want all of my readers and travel bugs who suffer from wanderlust to enjoy my trip with me! I plan on covering so many posts on packing and organization, not only for this trip but for back-to-school! I also want to play with different airport outfits. Honestly, I am an athleisure type of girl, and I want to show you guys more outfits with that style….but I also want to look cute when I get off the plane (fashion blogger struggles). Regardless, you guys will be able to live vicariously through me as I cover the different sights and events I encounter during my stay in Boston. So make sure you keep your eyes peeled!
