How to Style your Favorite Button Down Shirt

With back to school in session, it has been quite a challenge for me to find my blogging groove but I think I am going to get the hang of it soon. I hope you guys are having a good first week's (or second) of classes and that you are as excited about this semester as I am. I want to keep giving you guys inspiration for your back to school wardrobe seeing as all the clothes you probably bought (fall oriented) you can't quite wear yet. I think I am actually going to do a post on the items I bought for back to school *writes down in blog notes* to show you guys where my mind is at this autumn. I think I did pretty good seeing as I usually keep my clothes for at least two years, I love to make sure that I can mix and match with things I already own!

One of my back to school purchases was this blue and white button up I bought from H&M for $7! Yes you read it right! Ya girl really be on the lookout for deals when it comes to spending her own money (lol). It is still light enough to wear as a cover up and I am sure when the weather cools down a bit, it will be on of my go-to's for layering underneath a sweater. Pinterest actually helped inspire me with this outfit. I looked at the different ways people styled their button up and decide to take a risk and pair this shirt with one of my favorite white dresses.

I was reluctant to wear this shirt as a cover up, only because it was extremely long in the back and I was not sure if I liked the  shirt-and-skirt illusion. I do suggest a belt if you love this look but want a more figure favoring aesthetic. I normally don't like shift dresses, but this one has always come to my aid when I need something classy and cute without much hassle. I originally wore it with a jean shirt seen in this outfit post here.

One weird thing about senior year is that a lot of my friends are venturing off into their career fields. With first days of work or graduate school, and I am starting to get that weird feeling of constantly realizing that I am growing older. When I was younger that was all I could wish for and now that it is happening accomplishing my dreams is all I can think about. In my last post I gave some advice to incoming and continuing students, and to those who have graduated good luck and congrats on all that you have and will accomplish!
