I’m wrapping up the Arizona content with only one more blog post left covering my adventures! If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve seen the many canyon and hiking pictures for a few weeks now. I still can’t get over how well this trip turned out and all he explore we were able to get done. After traveling around quite a bit with The Strong Suit, I am finally sharing my FIRST ever hotel review (yay)!

We stayed at a few places while we hopped around Arizona, and this hotel was by far, my favorite. The Saguaro Scottsdale is a bright and fun hotel steps away from amazing dining, live music, art galleries, and shops. The resort fee covers cruiser bikes that you can use to explore the surrounding areas! Being curious, I was wondering what the name of our hotel meant. Turns out, a saguaro is a type of cactus species that is only found in the Sonoran desert in Arizona.

Here's a few fun facts:

-          They get their first arm after about 50 years, and can live to be 150-200 years old
-          They can grow to be between 40-60 feet tall
-          The saguaro is the largest cactus in the U.S

I saw a few of these while I was exploring the Desert Botanical Garden, so it was nice to put a name to, well a prickle. When it comes to choosing places to stay, I love a space that has a bit of character. I really loved the décor in our room at The Saguaro, but I was honestly impressed the moment I stepped into the lobby. My interior design style revolves around color, texture, and patterns. So aesthetically The Saguaro Scottsdale had me sold upon arrival.

We originally booked a King room but when we arrived it wasn’t quite ready yet. To ease our inconvenience the staff covered half of our resort fee and changed the room to a double bed. This worked out perfectly since we had a friend tag along. The rooms were crisp and airy (just like I like it) and the pops of color from the pillows and wall art added some warmth. Overall I was impressed with our stay here and they had an amazing summer special going on. If you’re traveling to the area soon you can check it out here!

We ended this amazing trip with boneless wings as the entrée for a girl’s night, filled with laughter and fun.

Thank you to The Saguaro team for making our stay enjoyable, I hope to return soon!
