Happy almost Friday guys! I’m not sure about you guys but this week was a little hectic. I’m currently working on a big project that has a lot of moving parts and life has a way of surprising us on its own. For example, as I write this, my personal computer lies dead. Who knows what’s wrong with it! At this point I’m just hoping for the best.
Despite all of that, I’m choosing a positive outlook as I look forward to this weekend and the opportunity to celebrate a few milestones with family and friends. Which is what I wanted to chat with you all about today: how to remain optimistic in the face of obstacles.
I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty frustrated right now. As you guys know, I’ve been participating in a content consistency challenge hosted by Mattie James and I have yet to miss a day. I’m grateful that Hubs has a computer, otherwise my hard work would be in vain. Between my computer dying and my own personal frustrations, I started to realize something. Even in the midst of my frustration I’m blessed. I’m blessed enough to have the resources to get another computer if needed. I’m blessed to afford a warranty that should take care of my current issue. I’m blessed to be able to have time to sit down and work on my passion for twenty days straight.
One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work for good to them that love God.” This passage always gives me comfort because I know no matter what obstacles come my way, everything is going to work out. Here are a few ways I muster up optimism even in the face of adversity:
-Repeat my favorite scriptures and affirmations
-Take a few moments to recall what I’m grateful for
-Exercise or stretch it out
-Thank God for things that he’s already done
-Enjoy this extra moment of rest
With that being said, whatever you guys are facing this week, month, and maybe even year, I just want you to know that everything is going to work out in the end. If it hasn’t yet, then it’s not the end. Be encouraged, stay encouraged and make sure you take the time to appreciate the little things in life!
What’s your favorite way to stay optimistic?
